The Governors of St Andrew the Apostle wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a fixed term contract to support a Year 6 child with educational needs.
The role will include working with the child to support them in the following ways:
  • To develop the child’s literacy and numeracy skills.
  • To develop the child’s concentration and listening skills in order to promote independent learning.
  • Support the child in communicating her emotions and build self esteem.
  • To develop the child’s ability to read social cues when building friendships.
  • To develop the child’s self help skills.
The successful candidate must hold an NVQ2 or above for Teaching Assistants, be sympathetic to the Catholic ethos and be able to use ICT to support learning. Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged. The person appointed will be joining a friendly and highly committed team within a very caring, happy and successful school.
