The Building Control service has undergone significant change in the last couple of years and you will be joining a young vibrant team at an exciting time as Knowsley and Halton Councils move forward with a shared Building Control service. You will be joining at a key time in this journey and you would play a key role in ensuring the partnership’s success.
The successful candidate will undertake a full range of building control duties across a variety of large and small-scale domestic and commercial projects.  You will also respond to emergency call outs across both Halton and Knowsley to investigate and recommend action in relation to dangerous structures.
Applicants will have a degree in Building Control or a relevant subject and will be working towards or have gained membership of a recognised professional body.  Applicants will have experience of managing a caseload of Building Control applications including plan checking and site inspection.
