Welcome to Your Council

Performance indicators
The government requires each local
authority to collect and publish a
range of performance indicators
reflecting the services the authority
provides. The indicators are verified
by an external auditor from the
District Audit service.
Performance indicators are designed to help steer the Council in the right direction to deliver improved services. Indicators contain the actual data used to determine whether performance is on target.
The performance indicators are set by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM).
Details of the Performance Indicators can be found on the Audit Commission website and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister Best Value website.
