Lesbian, gay and bisexual support
Homophobic crime is a hate crime.
Crimes which are mainly or partly motivated by animosity towards
lesbians, gay men or bisexuals, and may include:
- Verbal abuse and name calling.
- Having your property defaced with anti- lesbian or anti-gay
slogans.
- Being robbed in the street or burgled at home.
- Being attacked outside gay bars or other venues.
- Rape or sexual assault.
Merseyside Police work with the Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual (LGB)
communities in order to make sure their concerns about homophobic
crime are met.

how to report a homophobic crime, visit the Merseyside
