Local Development Framework
Work is continuing on a plan that will shape the future of the
borough - Knowsley’s Local Development Framework. This will help us
decide where and how we provide new homes, jobs, leisure and
shopping facilities and transport.
In Summer 2011, we asked for your views on the latest stage of
the Core Strategy, the strategic plan within the Local Development
Framework. The Preferred Options Report set out a range of
preferred planning policies to shape the future of Knowsley, and we
had a very positive response rate to the consultation.
The Council has compiled all of the information received, and
has published a Report of Consultation which is available on the
Council’s website at www.knowsley.gov.uk/LDF.
We are now considering all of the feedback and hope to publish a
final version of the Core Strategy in late 2012. This will
represent a further opportunity to “have your say” on plans for the
Borough.
