Cycle parking

Trans Pennine Trail

In order to improve accessibility and encourage cycle use, the development of cycle friendly infrastructure is required to provide facilities for cyclists throughout the whole of the Borough.

The provision of safe and secure cycle parking is an important consideration when deciding whether to make a journey by cycle. In recognising this as a minimum requirement to encourage cycle use a programme of cycle parking facilities continues to be implemented across the Borough and they can be found at the following locations.

The type of cycle parking at each of these locations is the Sheffield Stand (an upturned U shape). These stands can accommodate two cycles, one each side, and enables both the cycle frame and wheels to be locked and secured to the stand.
