Weight limits
The Traffic Management Division
implement weight limits when it is
necessary, e.g. when the condition of
a bridge or road is inadequate to take
the weight of lorries and their loads.
Environmental weight limits and lorry bans are introduced following close consultation with local communities and road haulage groups. They are introduced with the aim to improve the quality of life for communities by reducing the intrusion of HGVs into residential areas.

- Shaw Lane, Kingsway, Prescot - 10 Tonnes
- Shevington Lane, Kirkby - 7.5 Tonnes
- Hall Lane, Kirkby - 7.5 Tonnes
- West Street, Prescot - 7.5 Tonnes
