Road safety speed checks
All Knowsley school road safety
programmes include an element of
making our children aware of traffic
speed. Year 6 pupils carry out road
speed checks as part of their road
safety education.
The traffic management team introduce various traffic schemes to help reduce traffic speed around our schools and throughout the borough. There are a number of different traffic features such as road humps, speed tables, speed cameras, 20mph zones and speed cushions which are used to reduce the speed at which vehicles are driven in the borough.
