The Elgin website is an on-going development with Knowsley Council and, currently not all highway repair works appear here.

At present the Elgin system only works when Adobe Acrobat SGV viewer and Microsoft Internet Explorer are installed on your computer. The SGV viewer is available to download when entering the Elgin website.

Who maintains roads and highways in the borough?

The Highway & Street Lighting Maintenance team is responsible for maintaining the roads and pavements of adopted roads/highways.

The Highway Maintenance team co- ordinates as far as possible all works upon the highway including statutory undertakers - i.e. the water, gas, electricity and telecommunications companies - as well as the Council.
