Controlled parking zones
Parking restrictions are implemented to ensure the free movement of traffic along the highway network. They are usually aimed at resolving problems of congestion occurring on a highway, which in turn can result in delays being caused to traffic using these roads or obstruction of access to premises adjacent to the highway. Restrictions can be applied for varying times according to the nature of the problems occurring, e.g. ‘At any time' (24 hours, 7 days a week) after 8am to 6pm, etc.
