Shakespeare Schools Festival is proud to present a series of unique performances by young people from Knowsley.

Come and celebrate the future of Shakespeare with your local schools.
All are welcome to this inspiring evening of theatre. Whether you are a parent, friend or another local school, SSF is a wonderful way to experience the language, magic and possibilities of Shakespeare.

Shakespeare Schools Festival is the UK’s largest youth drama festival and enables over 1,000 primary, secondary, and special schools to stage abridged Shakespeare productions in their local professional theatre.

  • Romeo & Juliet: St. Joseph’s RC Primary School, Huyton
  • The Tempest: Evelyn Primary School, Prescot

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Which is the most spectacular pantomime of all? Join Snow White this Christmas in her fairytale adventure of a lifetime. Will Prince Lorenzo rescue his beloved Snow White from the Wicked Queen's evil spells? Will the Queens henchmen complete his perilous task upon the Princess? Will the Seven Dwarfs get to the Poisoned apple before Snow White?

There is only one way to find out! Book your tickets and join Dame Nanny Annie, the Hilarious Muddles, a handsome Prince and of course Snow White's seven little friends this Christmas in this magical family pantomime!

Starring Joshua Pascoe (Ben Mitchell in Eastenders) as Muddles and Steven Arnold (Coronation Street's Ashley Peacock) as the voice and image of the Magic Mirror. 

Meanwhile, Merseyside's own singer /actress Kate Greenwood stars as Snow White, and Victoria Roberts is back by popular demand as The Wicked Queen. 

Great news -  a new addition to the cast is Paul Duckworth  who is well known locally for his regular appearances at The Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool and also for appearing in Brookside for a short period as Dame.

Alice in Wonderland Alice in Wonderland

Immersion Theatre’s biggest family musical to date, a top quality, high energy, larger-than-life Easter musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, is coming to Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park in April 2017. Imagination runs wild and logic is abandoned in this fantastical, larger-than-life musical brimming with nonsensical fun and excitement for the entire family.

Follow Alice and the White Rabbit as they set off on a colourful, topsy-turvy adventure like no other and meet a host of outlandish characters including the troublesome twins, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, the notorious Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire cat and of course, the Mad-as a bat-Hatter!

Immersion Theatre proudly bring their trademark energy to their most spectacularly bonkers show to date, as children and adults alike are invited to join in the hilarity of seeing this classic story brought vividly to life. You’d be mad to miss it!

Concessions and ticket offers

Concessionary rates for tickets are available for some events. In general concessions and offers will be available for the following:

  • Young people under 16 years of age
  • Senior Citizens
  • All Active Knowsley members with a gold, silver or swimming membership (only available by purchasing over the phone or at the site
  • Disabled adults/Carers

Concessionary rates for some events may differ e.g. for Mersey Tigers events. Please refer to their guidelines for these details

Ticket offers

  • Group offer: buy ten tickets and get one free
  • Family ticket (where applicable): two adults and two children under 16.
