Play Ranger sessions

The Play Rangers

Play Rangers work with the local community and agencies to provide for children's play needs and raise the awareness of the importance of children's play and their right to use public spaces to play in.

Children between the ages of 5 and 16 can attend open access play sessions organised by Knowsley's Play Rangers.  The play sessions take place in parks and outdoor public spaces.

Children can just turn up and join in.  Activities include:

  • Building a den
  • Natural play
  • Parachute games
  • Arts and crafts
  • Team games
  • Circus skills

The Play Rangers do everything they can to ensure children are safe but giving them the change to be challenged, take risks and have fun outdoors.  Rangers cannot ensure that children will stay on site and can only be responsible while they are taking part in activities.

Accidents and emergencies
