Play Pathfinder

Knowsley’s Play Pathfinder programme
is a £3 million project bringing 28 exciting new natural play
spaces to the borough.
All of the sites offer
local children the latest in natural, outdoor
play designed by local children in partnership
with the council’s landscape consultants, 2020 Knowsley.
Innovative climbing frames and swings have been combined with a
range of natural play features, including boulders, musical
sculptures, earth mounding and natural surfacing. Three of
the sites, Copthorne, Mill Dam Park and Jubilee Park are designated
as Adventure Playgrounds and have a much more extensive range of
facilities for all ages and abilities.
An extensive consultation programme saw more than 20,000
Knowsley children take part in the design process to ensure there
was something for everyone.
