Milestone, Huyton
This Milestone is on the turnpike road which ran from Liverpool
to Prescot and was later extended to Warrington in 1753.
It is inscribed with the distances to Liverpool Exchange on the
left side with Prescot and Warrington on the right and all three on
the rear. The base of the stone has the inscription Huyton and is
buried in the soil.
