Knowsley has four borough parks and 17 local parks and natural spaces. There’s also a variety of exciting play spaces, including the pioneering Play Pathfinder programme has brought 28 exciting new natural play spaces to the borough.

Securing the future of Knowsley’s parks

The Council has now formally accepted the recommendations of an independent review into the future management and funding of its parks and green spaces.

The recommendation to create a charitable trust to run parks, put forward by the Knowsley Parks & Green Spaces Review Board, was unanimously agreed by the Council’s Cabinet at its meeting on 28 November. The decision will protect 90% of the borough’s parks and green spaces forever, through the sale of 10% of Knowsley’s parks and green spaces over the next 15 years. Read more
