Neighbourhood Agreement Priorities 2010/ 2011
The current priorities for the LSP are those
change factors which will make a lasting impact on the residents of
the borough including improving educational attainment, reducing
the number on incapacity benefits and not in employment, education
or training as well as developing the capacity of the third
sector.
North Huyton priorities
- Crime and anti-social behaviour
- Health and wellbeing
- Education and employment
South Huyton priorities
- Climate change – piloting the climate change
champion programme
- Behaviour change in Huyton town centre – to
tackle dog fouling, litter, fly tipping, anti-social behaviour,
truancy
- Alcohol abuse
- Attainment – working with partners to develop
training and employment opportunities
North Kirkby priorities
- Health and wellbeing - female and family
health – teenage conception, under five dental health, female
mortality, Respiratory disease, breastfeeding
- Economy - working age population claiming
benefits, business performance
- Education - 5 or more GCSE at A –
C
- Environment and crime – burglary,
anti-social behaviour, perceptions, environmental crimes
- Cross generational cohesion
Prescot, Whiston & Cronton priorities
- Impact of alcohol
- Life chances of young people
- Recycling and litter
Halewood priorities
- Health - particularly in Halewood West and
parts of Halewood South
- Climate change - working with centre for
learning and community associations.
- Tolerance - especially cross generational
work
