Parking charges apply in all public car parks in Knowsley.
Car parks have varying maximum waiting times as detailed
below.
Prescot
Short stay car parks
- Mill Street Car Park (accessed off High Street and Leyland
Street) - maximum 2 hours parking, with no return within 1
hour
Long stay car parks (can also be used
for short stays)
- Cyprus Street Car Park - parking is available for up to 9
hours
- Moss Street Car Park (accessed off High Street) - parking is
available for up to 9 hours

Kirkby
Short stay car parks
- Kirkby Suite Car Park, Norwich Way - maximum 2 hours parking,
with no return within 1 hour
- Kirkby Multi-Storey Car Park - Norwich Way (Levels 1 - 3) -
maximum 2 hours parking, with no return within 1 hour
- Irlam Drive Car Park (Small car park next to taxi office) -
Maximum 2 hours parking, with no return within 1 hour
Please note that the car park at the rear of the Kirkby Suite is
no longer available to the general public during the day time.
Long stay car parks (can also be used for short
stays)
- Kirkby Multi-Storey Car Park - Norwich Way (Levels 4 - 8) -
Parking is available for up to 9 hours
- Hall Lane Car Park - parking is available for up to 9
hours
- Webster Drive Car Park - parking is available for up to 9
hours
- Kirkby Market Car Park - parking is available for up to 9
hours
This car park is closed to the general public on market days
(Tuesday, Friday and Saturday)

Huyton
Short stay car parks
- Lathom Road Multi-Storey Car Park (Levels 1 and 2).
Levels 1 and 2 are for parking for a
maximum of 2 hours, with no return within 1 hour.
- Archway Road Car Park - Maximum 2 hours parking, with no return
within 1 hour
Please note that some sections of the existing Archway Road car
park in front of the Huyton Suite and Library, are no longer
available to the general public during the day time.
Long stay car parks (can also be used for short
stays)
- Lathom Road Multi-Storey Car Park (Levels 3 - 7) -
Parking is available for up to 9 hours
- Huyton Hey Car Park, Huyton Hey Road - Parking is avaiable for
up to 9 hours
Please note that a small area of Huyton Hey car park at the
furthest point from the town centre is no longer available to the
general public.

Charges
The charges for all public car parks apply:
Monday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm (except bank
holidays)
- Up to 1 hour: 50p
- Up to 2 hours: £1.00
- Over 2 hours: £2.00 (Long stay car parks only)
Please purchase your ticket at the nearest machine and display
it on your dashboard so it can be seen clearly by the parking
attendant.
A fixed penalty of £40 (reduced to £25 if paid within 7 days),
will be issued if a valid ticket is not displayed. Penalties are
also in operation for other offences including, but not limited
to,parking in a disabled bay without a valid badge and parking
outside marked bays.
Parking for disabled people
Disabled spaces are clearly marked where appropriate in our
public car parks.
Blue badge holders are NOT exempt from parking charges and
should purchase a ticket from the nearest machine for the duration
of their visit. The maximum waiting restrictions apply to all
users, although blue badge holders are granted one additional hour
in excess of that paid for, free of charge.
Disabled bays in the Huyton Municipal Building visitors car park
have been relocated to Archway Road car park. Disabled bays
in the Kirkby Municipal Building Visitors car park have been
relocated to the adjacent Kirkby Suite car park. Parking in the
visitors car park is restricted to permit holders or pre-booked
visitors only.
Private car parks
Car parks operated by particular shops, organisations or
landlords will not be subject to the council’s parking charges.
However they may operate their own parking charges or
restrictions.
