Temporary disruption to The Withens

1 December 2010
As the multi-million pound regeneration of Stockbridge Village
progresses and construction work continues on site, there will be
some unavoidable disruption to the area. This will be kept to a
minimum wherever possible.
However, there will on occasion be the need to temporarily close
or reduce traffic flow on The Withens (from Spruce Grove towards
the rear of properties on Custley Hey).
These closures will allow for essential work to be carried out
on site to construct the new facilities and buildings. The exact
date of all the closures is not currently known but at present we
do know that there will be disruption at the following times:
- 17th December 2010 (6 weeks)
- 24th January 2011 to 11th February 2011 (3 weeks)
- 21st February 2011 to 25th February 2011 (1 week)
- 4th April 2011 to 1st July 2011 (12 weeks)
We will continue to update this website with details of the
planned disruption and letters will be sent to affected residents
prior to any road closures taking place.
Construction staff will be on site throughout and will be
working to reduce any impact for residents.
For people living on Custley Hey, Morgan Sindall representatives
will be available to help facilitate any deliveries to properties
that may be required during this time. In these instances,
residents are asked to contact Ray Clarke (senior project
manager) or Karen Rushby (site manager) on 0151 522 2600 in
advance to arrange for their deliveries to be accommodated.
For any other issues or questions please contact Audra Ross or
Paul Morris at Knowsley Council on 0151 443 5802.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your
on-going patience during this time.
