Safer Internet Day survey

Safer Internet Day (SID) is supported by countries throughout Europe. This year’s theme is ‘Think Before You Post’. Throughout the week (from Monday 8 to Friday 12 February) a range of activities will be taking place across the continent to help protect young people online. Knowsley is committed to helping ensure everyone in the borough uses the internet safely. We do this all year round but SID provides an opportunity to really focus people’s attention on the importance of online safety.

Would you be concerned if there were photos of you, or personal information about you on the internet?
Do you share personal information about yourself with your friends on Facebook, Myspace or similar social networking sites?

Were you aware that people must not put photos or videos of other people's children on the Internet without consent?
If your child told you there was unwelcome information about them on the Internet, would you know what to do about it?
Are you aware that it is easy for a person to pretend convincingly to be somebody else on the Internet?
