TAKE NOTICE THAT Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the
Licensing Authority) has cause to review the premises licence held
in respect of Corner Store (formerly Wrights Off-Licence), 56
Copplehouse Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool 10.
The grounds for this review are that the Licensing Objectives to
prevent crime and disorder and protect children from harm have not
been promoted on account that on 2 separate occasions staff at the
store did sell alcohol to persons under the age of 18 during test
purchasing operations conducted by Knowsley Council’s Trading
Standards Service in association with Merseyside Police.
The Licensing Authority invites representations from interested
persons and Responsible Authorities about this matter. Such
representations must outline the grounds for the representations
and must be received in writing at the address below by no later
than 5pm on Tuesday 28 July 2009.
The record of this review can be inspected by members of the
public between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday at the
office of the Licensing Authority which is located at;

The office of the Licensing Authority is open to members of the
public Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

make an appointment.
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false
statement in connection with an application punishable with a
maximum fine of £5000 on summary conviction.
