How do I join the Landlord Accreditation
Scheme?
To join the Landlord Accreditation Scheme, you can either
download the application form and code of standards and management
practice, or contact the Strategic Housing team on 0151 443 2287 or
email housing@knowsley.gov.uk to
request an application pack.
Once you have read all the documents within the application
pack, you should send the completed application form to the address
provided along with:
- A copy of your current Gas Safety Certificate
- A copy of your current Electrical Safety Certificate
- A copy of your current Energy Performance Certificate
- A blank copy of your Tenancy Agreement
- Details of which tenancy deposit schemes you use
If you cannot send the documents with your application form, we
will arrange to collect them from you. This will usually be
on the same day that we inspect your property, or we can arrange
another time. Please note, your properties will not be
accredited until we have seen all of the appropriate documents.
We will contact you to arrange a visit to each property
submitted for accreditation.
If any of your properties do not meet the requirements of the
scheme, we will give you a schedule of works that you will need to
complete in order for the property to meet the required
standards. We will arrange a reasonable time scale for these
works to be completed before re-inspection (Note: You do not have
to re-apply at this stage).
If your property does meet the required standards, and providing
you meet the Code of Standards and Management Practice, you will be
awarded a certificate for each individual property.
