Good Neighbours

This summer, Knowsley Council is hosting events across the borough to bring together people from all walks of life, regardless of their age, background, or gender.

The events are an ideal opportunity for you to catch up with your neighbours and some of the people who live in your community that you might not have seen for a while. To find out more about the events, please click here.

You can even organise your own event if you want. In partnership with The Big Lunch, we are encouraging residents to set up their own community party, on Saturday 19th July.

Read Knowsley’s guide to The Big Lunch for help and advice, or you can visit the Big Lunch website.

We are also running the first ever Good Neighbours in Knowsley Awards, which recognise the people in each community who make it a better place to live. To find out more about the awards, and to nominate your good neighbour, please click here.

What is being a Good Neighbour all about?

Being a good neighbour is a full time role. Here are some of our suggestions for the things that good neighbours in Knowsley like to do.

Good neighbours

  • Like to talk to each other
  • Like having a cuppa together
  • Welcome their neighbours with a brew
  • Make their neighbours feel welcome
  • Enjoy listening to each other
  • Take the opportunity to make a cuppa for guests
  • Should be there for one another
