How do I report a noise pollution problem?
If you are having problems with barking dogs or noisy neighbours
the council can help if you have been unable to sort out the issue
yourself. Contact 0151 443 4723 to report a problem.
What information do I need to provide?
We will need full details of the complaint with the name and
address of the person causing the problem.
How will you deal with the problem?
- We will write to the tenant causing the problem but will not
reveal your identity.
- If the problem continues we will issue diary sheets for you to
record incidents over a six week period.
- When we receive completed diary sheets a council officer will
visit the tenant causing the problem.
- If the noise continues and we have sufficient evidence we will
decide on an appropriate course of action. This may involve other
agencies such as social services or a mediation service. In extreme
cases we will take legal action.
