Animal health and welfare
The council's Environmental Health Service is responsible for
licensing certain types of premises and activities involving
animals including:

We also work closely with the Department of Food and
Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and are involved in implementing
legislation relating to the health and welfare of farm animals,
animal movement licences and control of animal disease.

The council's Dog Warden Service is responsible for issues
