Council tax benefit
If you or your partner are on a low income you may be
entitled to council tax benefit.
If you live with someone (other than your partner) who is
on a low income, you may be entitled to a second adult rebate.

How to apply
If you think you may be entitled to benefit, you need to
complete and return an application
form. You can also pick up a form from any of
our One Stop
Shops, most registered social landlords and advice agencies or
request an application form to be sent by post. Alternatively, call
0151 443 4042 or email benefits@knowsley.gov.uk.
If you are elderly or have mobility problems we can arrange to
visit you in your own home. Please contact us on 0151 443
4042 to arrange a visit.
Severe cold weather payments
If you're on a low income, a Cold Weather Payment may be
available to help you for each week of very cold weather in your
area.
