Consumer advice

We work in partnership with Consumer Direct and offer
free advice and guidance to Knowsley residents and traders.
Consumer Direct is a government funded
telephone and online consumer advice service and helps consumers
sort out problems and disagreements with suppliers of goods and
services. This includes:
- Overcharging
- Faulty goods
- Dodgy workmanship
- Dishonest traders and scams
If you live outside Knowsley then you can find
your local trading standards service by visiting the Trading Standards
website.

You can call Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05
06, Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
Calls cost 4p a minute from BT landlines. Charges from other
networks may vary.
If Consumer Direct feel that the matter
requires investigation by trading standards, they will refer it on
to Knowsley’s Environmental Health and Consumer Protection Service,
who will contact you within three working days.
For personal visits, our office is open Monday
to Friday 10am to 4pm. We are located at Kirkby Municipal Buildings
