Reporting anti social behaviour

Knowsley’s Anti-Social Behaviour Unit helps local residents and businesses feel safer in their community and promotes respect within our neighbourhoods.

Anti-social behaviour can blight lives and leave victims living in fear. But in Knowsley, a dedicated team of professionals are on hand to provide help and support to reduce crime and to help offenders change their lives.

Knowsley’s Anti-Social Behaviour Unit is made up of staff from a number of agencies including Knowsley Council, Merseyside Probation Trust, Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. The Unit works hard to provide support for victims and helps secure prosecutions where appropriate.

But much of the work of Knowsley’s Anti-Social Behaviour Unit involves efforts to prevent the criminal and nuisance behaviour in the first instance.

Knowsley’s Anti-Social Behaviour Unit are there for you, whether you are a victim or witness of anti-social behaviour, a parent who is concerned about their child or a young person.

Are you a Private Landlord?

Are you unsure on how to deal with anti-social behaviour issues relating to your tenanted properties? Would you like guidance when letting your properties?  The council has developed a Private Landlord Anti-Social Behaviour Pack to help landlords deal with ASB incidents and help landlords allocate tenancies.  The pack contains sample documents that will assist individuals granting tenancies to deal with issues of anti-social behaviour.

Furthermore, landlords who join the councils Landlord Accreditation Scheme can benefit from a FREE Tenant Referencing Service. The Landlord Accreditation scheme is designed to recognise good quality, well managed private sector accommodation in Knowsley. The scheme is free for private landlords to join and will demonstrate their commitment to their tenants and to the good maintenance and management of their properties and tenants. To receive accreditation, landlords must agree to a set of principles which include promoting good property standards, ensuring their properties are in good condition, abiding by the law and holding all safety certificates.
