What are we doing now?
Knowsley Lane SUE Draft Supplementary Planning Document - Public Consultation
The Council is holding a six week public consultation on the draft SPD, running from Thursday 13 April 2017 to 5pm on Thursday 25 May 2017.
The draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) has been produced by Knowsley Council, to guide the development of this site as a Sustainable Urban Extension. The SPD:
- Sets a vision and objectives for the comprehensive, high-quality development of the site,
- Identifies the opportunities and constraints affecting the site;
- Sets a land use framework which identifies locations for new residential and commercial development;
- Establishes requirements for a site-wide design framework; and
- Sets out requirements for planning applications, and the delivery of new development, including infrastructure provision.
The draft SPD, along with other supporting documents, can be viewed online here.
The documents are accompanied by a form which you can download and fill out with your response – you can also see the Spatial Framework diagram from the SPD and use the online comments box there to submit your response*.
*Please note that personal information provided as part of a representation cannot be treated as confidential, as the Council is required to make representations available for public inspection. However in compliance with the Data Protection Act, the personal information you provide will only be used by the Council for the purposes of preparing the Council’s Local Plan and supporting documents.
All responses received will be considered, and if necessary changes made to the draft SPD; Knowsley Council will then decide if it should be adopted and used to determine planning applications for development within the area.
