Conservation
Conservation areas are areas of special architectural or
historic interest. It is important
that the character or appearance of conservation areas
are preserved or enhanced.
Within a conservation area the council has extra controls over
the following:
- Demolition
- Minor developments
- Trees
I live in a conservation area. Do I need special planning
permission to alter my home?
Before you begin any work or alterations, you should contact
