Purchasing a grave
You can make arrangements to buy the rights of burial of a grave
space for a period of 99 years at the bereavement
services office. You can also buy a grave to be reserved
for future use. New graves area available at Fox's Bank Lane
Cemetery.
Burial fees
Selecting a grave plot
The council offers two types of plot – a lawn burial grave or a
cremation only grave.
We also have a wide range of memorials available for remembrence
walls and benches. The cemetery office staff can offer
further advice.
Burial plots
Situated at Fox's Bank Lane Cemetery, both Alder and Birch
Gardens have been designed for burial plots. You can purchase
graves for up to three coffins. These graves also allow for a
further four cremated remains caskets.
Cremated remains graves
A special area for the burial of a loved ones ashes is located
at Fox's Bank Lane Cemetery.
Each plot is allocated with a 99 year right of burial and will
accpet up to six sets of ashes. Arrangements can be remained
to place a memorial headstone on the grave.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, we ask
that remains are buried in a biodegradable container. You can
decide the type of container this will be and there is a range of
options available at your funeral directors.

Scattering of ashes
Arrangements can be made to scatter ashes in the Garden of
Remembrance at Fox's Bank Lane Cemetery.
