Births, deaths and marriages

Knowsley Registration Service is responsible for registering all births, deaths and stillbirths in the borough and for the civil preliminaries to marriage and civil partnership for Knowsley residents. As well as the list of services below, we also hold birth, death and marriage records from 1837 for which copy certificates can be obtained. We are committed to providing excellent customer service.

Knowsley Registration Service is now offering even more accessible services for residents wishing to register births and deaths.

You can now register births and deaths at our One Stop Shops in Huyton, Halewood and Kirkby. You just need to book an appointment online.

Marriage certificate

If a birth, death or marriage took place in Knowsley, you can contact Knowsley Register Office on 0151 443 2900 and arrange a copy certificate.
