How to pay a council bill
Direct Debit
Make life easier and apply to
pay for your council tax by direct debit. You can do this in
the following ways:
- Apply online now to set up your direct debit instruction
- Telephone 443 4476
- Download the application form and apply by post
Credit or debit card
You can pay a number
of council bills using your debit or credit card. Credit card
payments will incur a surcharge and will be added to your payment
automatically. This does not affect debit card payments. You
can also:
- Pay your bills online now
- Use our 24 hour automated telephone payment service
for:
Council tax 489 6000
Business rates 443 4089
Council invoices (sundry debtors) 443 4455
Housing benefit overpayments 443 4191
Post us a cheque
Make cheques payable to Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council and
include your payment slip or reference to the address indicated on
the invoice or payment request. Do not send cash or post
dated cheques.
Pay in person
Visit any of our
One Stop Shops and pay by cash, cheque, debit or credit
card. Please note that you can also pay your council tax at
any Paypoint agent or The Villages Housing Association.
