• Knowsley to transform Huyton One Stop Shop

Work has began to transform Huyton One Stop Shop.

The refurbishment will see it redecorated throughout with a fresh colour palette. Fourteen pods are also being created, to provide residents with a more private environment to talk to customer service advisors.

The work at Huyton will take place in a series of phases and the One Stop Shop will remain open throughout. It is scheduled for completion by Friday, January 2 2009.

Knowsley Council’s Cabinet Member for Corporate and Customer Services, Cllr Ken Keith, said: “This new facility has been designed after listening to the needs of our customers.

“The new pods will create a more personable environment in which residents can access services. Over time, we hope to encourage more partner agencies to use the facilities on offer at Huyton, to give our residents access to a whole host of services under one roof.

“We are keeping all existing services available throughout the work and would like to thank all our residents for their co-operation while the refurbishment is taking place.”
