Cycle Knowsley with new TravelWise map

Cycling is fun, fast, reliable and affordable. Now it’s also easy to find your way around with a new map of cycle routes in Knowsley.

Knowsley Council’s TravelWise campaign has published the first Knowsley cycle map. It is available to pick up for free in council offices, libraries, and tourist attractions across the borough.

The map is for everyone, from those who cycle regularly to those who are just thinking about riding a bike. The map shows enjoyable routes for work, study, shopping or leisure. It shows cycle lanes, quiet roads and the off-road Trans Pennine Trail, as well as green routes in Halewood Park and Stadt Moers Park.

Knowsley’s map completes the family of cycle maps for Merseyside, with four others covering Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral. Using the maps you can discover the wonderful city and country landscapes of Merseyside.

To help gain confidence, why not try one of the easy summer Bike Time rides? They start on Sunday afternoons at 2pm, last between 1 and 3 hours and are free for everyone to enjoy. The rides are suitable for all abilities and ages, a tea stop is included and there is no need to book.

Visit  www.letstravelwise.org/cycling/ or call 0151 330 1253 to request a copy of the Knowsley or other cycle maps and for more details of the Bike Time rides.
