Rainey Day - a fun day for all the family in Knowsley

Knowsley Council’s annual Rainey Day event takes place on Sunday, July 13th, offering a fun day out for the whole community.

The event, Knowsley’s Ability Awareness day, is now in its third year.

This year it takes place at the King George V Leisure Centre, Longview Lane, Huyton, and it aims to promote the services and facilities available for people with disabilities living in the borough.

Highlights of the day include:

  • A balloon launch;
  • The Actionaires Multi Sports Session
  • Boccia
  • New age curling;
  • Stalls representing local agencies which promote services for people with disabilities;
  • Deal or no deal – Knowsley Being Involved Group; and
  • Local singer Andrew Coleman
  • Face Painting and much more!.

The event is named Rainey Day, in memory of Knowsley’s former Access Officer John Rainey, who sadly died last year.
