Solar power your weekend at Knowsley Green Fayre
Have a fantastic free big green day out at this year’s
Knowsley Green Fayre. Come along and join Knowsley Council in
partnership with the National Wildflower Centre at Court Hey Park
on Sunday June 8, from 11am - 5pm.
This year the Green Fayre is greener than ever, with local company
“Green Fuse” providing environmental activities,
workshops and refreshments, as well as hosting a live music stage.
This year the stage will be powered by ‘Magnificent
Revolution’ a ten bicycle dynamo which, with help of public
pedal power will provide all the electricity needed for an exciting
line up of acoustic acts.
The 2008 Knowsley Green Fayre also boasts regular screenings in its
very own Solar Cinema with a line-up of wildlife and green themed
films. Add to this Street theatre, Circus, Scrap metal music
performances and workshops from Urban Strawberry Lunch, Knowsley
Schools recycled sculpture competition, Green activities and
demonstrations and a fantastic farmers market and you have the
perfect recipe for a great green day out.
There’s something for everyone so come and discover what you
can do to tackle climate change following World Environment Day on
5th June.
