2nd Annual Children and Young People's workforce conference

Knowsley change for children

Thursday 8th November 2007 9.30am – 3.30pm, Kirkby Suite, Kirkby

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural conference this year’s Knowsley Children and Young People’s Workforce Conference will to be even bigger and better.

The conference is free to attend and will provide information on local and national policy and emerging best practice through guest speaker presentations, interactive workshops, and an information sharing market place.

The event is aimed at anyone and everyone who supports, engages, and works with children and young people in either a paid or unpaid capacity.

The key themes of the interactive workshops will be:

  • Learning Together - Developing multi agency working and leadership across the children’s workforce
  • Safer Workforce - Exploring key developments and best practice
  • Equality & Diversity - Meeting the needs of children and young people, and the wider workforce

Developing a high quality children’s workforce is a key element of the government’s Every Child Matters agenda and this free conference offers you an exciting opportunity to keep up to date on the latest developments nationally and locally across the public, private and voluntary and community sectors.

Lunch and refreshments are provided and each delegate will receive a gift bag and information pack on the day.

To support people getting to the conference we have arranged transportation with pick up and drop off points at Halewood Leisure Centre, Baileys Lane, Halewood and the Training and Conference Centre, Knowsley Lane, Huyton.

If you would like to attend please fill in an attendance form and email it to: childrens.workforce@knowsley.gov.uk or post it to Alastair Child, DCS Building, 2nd Floor, Huyton Hey Road, Huyton, L36 5HY. Alternatively call 0151 443 3247.
