Research Your Family History
If you would like to find out about
your family history, discover your
ancestors and trace long lost
relatives, then Knowsley’s library
service will show you how.
Come along to a special Family History Day at Huyton Library, Civic Way, on Saturday, February 11, from 10-11am or 2-3pm and their friendly staff will introduce you to the wealth of resources that are available to budding family historians.
The day is a chance to find out how to take your first steps into researching your ancestors or chat to experts about how to overcome the difficulties you might encounter. Staff will guide you through the resources on hand at the library and online, and you can also meet with others who share the same interests to swap hints and tips.
Don’t worry if you think you don’t have the computer skills to search the Internet or follow an online Family History course, because the Huyton library staff will be more than happy to show you how. Once you learn the basics, you can even enrol on one of the library’s ICT courses ranging from basic introductory sessions to ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) qualification.
So pop down to Huyton Library on Saturday, February 11, – you never know where it might take you!
