Make A Difference To Your Neighbourhood
Residents of Knowsley are invited to
attend local meetings and become more
involved in the regeneration of their
particular neighbourhood and community.
Local people across the borough have already been involved in giving information relating to current issues within their neighbourhood at the last community area forum cycle, which is forming the basis of the neighbourhood’s Local Action Plan. This next cycle in January/February will focus on suggested improvements and changes to local communities and will ask residents what they feel would make a difference to their neighbourhood. The contribution from residents is vital in deciding the way forward and the priorities within each area.
There are community area forum meetings in each area – two in Huyton, two in Kirkby, one in Halewood and one covering Prescot/Whiston/Knowsley Village/Cronton (venues and dates below).
Residents are encouraged to come along to a local venue, where they will hear about the changes to the future consultation process, and learn more about the work of the Neighbourhood Pride Teams, who can now be seen around the borough, concentrating initially on environmental improvements.
The dates are venues for the community area forum meetings are:
North Kirkby 31st January Kirkby Suite 6.00pm
North Huyton 1st February Huyton Suite 6.00pm
South Kirkby 7th February Kirkby Suite 6.00pm
South Huyton 8th February Huyton Suite 6.00pm
Halewood 14th February Hollies Road Community Centre 6.00pm
Prescot/Whiston 15th February Prescot Leisure Centre 6.00pm
Information is also available on the Internet at the Knowsley Partnership’s website –
www.theknowsleypartnership.org.uk and also on Knowsley’s interactive digital television service.
