Drawing Attention

Creative Pupils picture
Creativity has been flowing amongst the people of Knowsley as they celebrate art by taking part in the borough’s Big Draw events.

Marking the national campaign, which aims to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy drawing and painting, Knowsley has organised two special days to allow people to do just that!

The first event was on Saturday (October 8) at Huyton Gallery when Knowsley Council’s Arts Service invited members of the public to come along and make their mark by painting, blobbing, smearing and dripping, under the guidance of artist Paul Luckcraft.

And the fun continues this weekend, when more creative capers will take place at Prescot Museum on Saturday October 15, between 10am -1pm and 2- 4pm. This time it’ll be art with a difference as painting gets personal with some face painting and body art. For more information, contact the museum on 0151 430 7787.

Meanwhile, if you would like some artistic inspiration during the Big Draw, why not pop along to Huyton gallery where Paul Luckcraft’s collection of works - entitled Everything Beautiful is Far Away – is on display.
