Contacting Knowsley Council is easier than ever with new opening hours launched during National Customer Service Week.

You can now call the contact centre with enquiries on council tax, housing benefit, planning and building control matters and Knowsley Housing Trust repairs between 8am and 8pm on weekdays or 9.30am and 1pm on Saturday.

Staff are also available to advise residents on bin collections, street lighting, footways and recycling. The One Stop Shops, in Huyton, Kirkby and Prescot, are now open on Saturday’s from 9.30am -1pm.

Lisa Jones, Knowsley’s Assistant Director Customer Services, said: “One Stop Shops offer people the opportunity to come in and meet staff on a one to one basis and deal with a range of enquiries including housing and council tax benefits, blue badge permits, and planning matters.”

Launched during national customer service week, which is in its fifth year, the new hours and opening times will benefit everyone living, working and visiting Knowsley.

Cllr Brian O’Hare, Knowsley Council’s Cabinet Member for Corporate and Customer Services, said: “The Cabinet have been listening to the community who want to be able to access our services at more convenient hours for them. We are please to offer this extended service and look forward to dealing with your enquiries.”
