Woodland Fun in Knowsley

The Little Wood Woodland Fayre in Stockbridge Village was a chance to try various wood themed crafts, making small objects and ornaments and creating art from willow.
There was also some instant stress relief with the chance to help woodland management in the area by trying some Rhododendron bashing!
The fayre, organised by the Little Woods of Stockbridge Association with Knowsley Council, was part of a number of Forest Fever events being run across the region by The Mersey Forest. The programme aims to provide people with the chance to try their hand at new activities, with everything from bug hunts, health walks and historical re-enactments on offer.
Gill Dobson, Community Forest Officer for Knowsley Council, said: “The Little Wood Woodland Fayre was a fabulous way to encourage people out into the woodlands in Knowsley to see nature and enjoy an afternoon in the great outdoors.
“With the chance to try different woodcrafts and make something to take home, it was also a new experience for most visitors, who all seemed to really enjoy the day.”
