Published on: Monday, 07-July-2014

Knowsley’s fabulous Flower Show will return to Court Hey Park in Huyton next month and promises to be a great day out!

It’s the largest free horticultural show in the North West and will this year commemorate the centenary of World War I on Sunday 3 August.

Local soldiers will be in World War I uniform greeting visitors and hosting question and answer sessions.  Prescot Museum will stage a range of WWI themed exhibits including a replica trench complete with audio visual effects.

The show will have something for visitors of all ages including the H&M Dog Display team, Mersey Morris Men, face painting, fairground rides as well as the craft marquee and produce market.

All of this is in addition to the stunning floral marquee which will house hundreds of fantastic horticultural displays.

A free shuttle bus service to the show ground will operate from locations across the borough. Car parking is limited so visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttles. Timetables will be published two weeks before the event on the website.
