There’s one week left to nominate any deserving, unsung heroes in your local community.

Nominations close at midnight on Wednesday 12 August for the Good Neighbours in Knowsley Awards 2015.

The awards recognise the special people who go that extra mile to help their neighbour, or who work to make their community a better place to live. Elizabeth Greenall, last year’s Good Neighbours in Knowsley winner, with her neighbour Joanne McCullock

Last year’s borough wide winner, Elizabeth Greenall was nominated by her young neighbour Joanne McCullock. It only took a few minutes for Joanne to complete the online nomination form and she’s really pleased she did!

Anyone who lives in Knowsley can be nominated. Young or old, people of all ages can be put forward. A winner will be chosen from each of the four areas in the borough, with an overall winner being selected for ‘Outstanding Contribution to their Community’.

Nomination forms are available in all of the borough’s One Stop Shops and libraries. Online nominations can also be made through the council’s website, and at upcoming community events across the borough.
