LGBT Adoption & Fostering Week

Published on: Tuesday, 03-March-2015

If you’ve got what it takes to give a child a loving and stable home, then adoption or fostering could be right for you.

There are children in Knowsley right now waiting for a home – either temporary or permanent – and there is an urgent need for more people to come forward to adopt or foster.

Cllr Gary See, Knowsley Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Family Services, said: “We’re looking for people from all walks of life with all kinds of life experiences to offer. If you have what it takes to give a child or children the love and care they need to thrive then please get in touch and find out more about adoption or fostering.”

You don’t have to be married, wealthy, or own your own home to adopt or foster. You can be over 50, already have children of your own, work full time, and be of any religion or sexuality. Full training and support is provided every step of the way.

So if you think adoption or fostering might be right for you and your family, Knowsley wants to hear from you.
