Huyton Suite becomes The Venue

Knowsley Council has announced The Huyton Suite will be renamed The Venue.

The change of name heralds an exciting new era for the civic building at Poplar Bank, Huyton - confirming its reputation as a popular entertainment and celebrations destination.

As well as hosting meetings and conferences, the Huyton Suite also stages regular cabaret evenings, weddings and celebratory events. It’s also home to the Bistro café.

To coincide with the name change, there will be improvements to the building which will see the frontage transformed with modern cladding, glazing and doors, as well as new, illuminated signage.

Work to improve the paving outside the building started last week, and it’s expected the upgrade will be completed by the end of Spring, in time for the busy wedding and party season. The Huyton Suite and Bistro will be open for business as usual during the works.

The improvements will coincide with the development of a new website and e-newsletter which will enable The Venue to maximise its full potential and compete commercially with similar venues across Merseyside.

Cllr Graham Morgan, Knowsley’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood Delivery said: “The re-branding will include a minor facelift of the building giving it a more modern look that users would expect in similar destinations. We hope this will attract new customers, encourage them to use The Venue and confirm its reputation as a popular entertainment and celebrations destination.”
