Sign up to take part in the inaugural mass participation cycle ride around the wonderful routes of Knowsley this summer.

Sunday, 13thSeptember sees Knowsley’s Great Pedal Away take place, starting and finishing at the National Wildflower Centre in Court Hey Park, Huyton. Riders can set off between 9am-10am and complete the route at their own pace.

Cyclists can choose between two routes – an 8 mile family-friendly route, along predominantly traffic-free cycle paths or a 34 mile challenge route, which tours Knowsley’s quiet lanes and new cycle paths.

Both routes will be an exciting challenge for anyone wanting to test their ability and explore new places with new people.

Entry costs just £5 per person.  All proceeds will go towards buying new disability cycling equipment for Knowsley in the weekly Wheel for All sessions run by Cycling Projects. Free entry to those who raise over £50 for Cycling Projects.

Refreshments are provided at 3 locations along the route. Both routes will be clearly signposted and marshalled, and every participant will receive a route card giving turn by turn directions. A mobile bike mechanic will also be available.

Participants must enter before the event as places are strictly limited. To register your place online go to www.cycling.org.uk
