Free, guided bike rides in Knowsley

Published on: Wednesday, 30-July-2014

If England’s cycling success at the Commonwealth Games has inspired you to get on your bike, be sure to register for one of the free organised rides through Knowsley with the Sky Rides programme.

Organised by British Cycling and Sky, in partnership with Knowsley Council, the Sky Ride Local programme is a series of free, fun, guided bike rides around the borough.

Household name and programme Ambassador, Davina McCall, will visit the region in September to take part in a Sky Ride guided cycle which will coincide with the start of the Tour of Britain, the UK’s biggest professional cycling competition. Stage two of the race, on Monday, 8 September will depart from Knowsley Safari Park.

With Sky Ride Local all the planning has been done for you. British Cycling has found the best routes, trained up friendly Ride Leaders to guide and support you, and picked some cracking parts of Knowsley to visit along the way. And with three different levels on offer, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re building your confidence or looking to stretch your legs on a cycling challenge.
