Easter fun in Prescot

Published on: Wednesday, 01-April-2015

There’s plenty going on in Prescot this Easter weekend.

The monthly Prescot Producers’ Market on Saturday April 4 has a special Easter theme, with an Easter Bonnet workshop, face painting, and an ‘Easter Bunny’ rabbit handling pen for children. The fun starts at 9am until 2pm with stalls lining Eccleston Street as normal.

There will also be a giant Easter egg & trophy awarded to the best dressed shop window during Saturday’s Market.

And there’s the grand opening of the winning shop in First Ark’s second Win a Shop competition. The Dance Shop, at Prescot Shopping Centre, opens its doors for the first time and is set to mark the occasion in style with performances from local dance schools.

Also in Prescot Shopping Centre, an ‘upcycling’ workshop gives you the chance to unleash your creative side and revive an old piece of furniture. This is hosted by the winner of last year’s Win A Shop competition, Grace Lea.

Keep an eye out too for Prescot Town Team who are running a photo competition. Enter by taking your own snap of Prescot and posting it, using the hashtag #LovePrescot on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter. The winner will get £30 Love to Shop Vouchers and all photographs may be used on the new Love Prescot Website.
