Crafted exhibition

Published on: Monday, 01-December-2014

Incredible crafts made by contemporary artists are now on display at Huyton Gallery as part of the biennial exhibition, Crafted.

Organised by Knowsley Council’s Arts and Heritage Service, the exhibition celebrates the work of local contemporary craft makers and includes craft, design, sculpture and fine art.

All the artworks on display in the exhibition are also for sale, so it’s perfect for anyone who wants to pick up a unique item for their home or as a special gift.

And, while there are some higher priced items, many are extremely affordably priced, with examples including glass tiles, perfume bottles, paperweights, ceramic vessels, jewellery and illustrations.

Items will be available to collect on Thursday, December 11, just in time for Christmas.

Crafted takes place every two years and alternates between Huyton and Kirkby Galleries. It is open now and runs until Saturday, January 17.

This year, the exhibiting artists include Jane Adams, Susan Beck, Alison Graham, Sue Jackson, Sabine Kussmaul, Ruth Moilliet, L W Silver, Simon Wolf, Alys Power and Ruth Singer.
